Episode 10 - Ladies night: A devolution- the epic episode
And the one where it finally dawns on Gina that no one likes gin but her. But too bad, because it’s BACK! For tonight, just enjoy a gin fizz. Despite what Jill says, it's possible.
And while Gina does have some geeky fandoms, so does Jill. AND so do our special guests for this 10th episode spectacular, Rexy and Nina! With a cameo appearance by Nina's main man Benny. It's a geek-out party, y'all!
The Gin Fizz
I guess there are a lot of different ‘fizz’ cocktails, but really the only one I’ve ever heard of is the Gin Fizz. I always was a little afraid of it because #raweggsarescary but with the invention of pasteurized packaged egg whites (at a grocery store near you) it makes it less daunting. So I decided this would be our try for this week. Also, having decided that the Monkey 47 was more Gina’s speed, I tried Ryan Reynold’s Aviation Gin which I did like better. It’s still gin, but overall, this cocktail was way better than last week. T-Rex a.k.a. Rexy also didn’t hate it. Bravo Ryan Reynolds.
Ingredients-
2 oz Aviation gin
3/4 oz lemon juice (fresh is best…always)
3/4 oz simple syrup
1 egg white (about 1/2 oz)
Soda water
Instructions-
Combine gin, lemon juice, syrup and egg white in the cocktail shaker and dry shake for 30 seconds. Then, add ice and shake until chilled (at least another 30 seconds). Strain into a fizz or highball glass. Top with soda water and enjoy.
